3 weeks old

I can't believe Owen is already 3 weeks old! It is going by so fast already! He is doing great! He weighted in at 10.5 lb this weekend and is still a very happy baby. He seems to enjoy tummy time, baths and snuggling with anyone! He did roll from his back to his side twice yesterday but hasn't done it again since. He has also started making sounds other than crying! He made a 'ga', 'ka' and 'hi' sound! The 'hi' sound was so funny because it really did sound like he was saying 'hi' to us. He is sleeping longer and longer but we still don't have any sort of a routine yet but that is ok. Thanks for checking the blog and hope everyone is enjoying their summer so far!

almost 2 weeks

Owen is doing great! He has become more and more interactive and is starting to get his days/nights straightened out. He had a weight check at the dr office this week and he is almost back to his birth weight. He weighed in at 9lb 11 oz. On the home front, we are going through a ton of diapers and the washing machine seems to be running 24/7. Owen, Bobby and I so appreciate all the visitors, help and support everyone has given! We feel truly blessed!

One week old!

Hard to believe Owen has only been with us for a week. It seems like he has been a family member for much longer than that! We celebrated his week bday with a walk around the village and lots of cat naps! He is doing great and seems get be getting his nights and days straightened out a little. Also, his eyes are sooooo much better! The skin is still a little red but the scabs are all gone!

The dogs have been great about Owen. They are interested in him and come check on him whenever we are holding him. Yesterday I went to get Owen out of his car seat and saw that the dogs had give him a little present..... a kong wubba. I think it was there way of saying they accept 'little o' as a new family member!

Visitors and trip home

Owen had a great first weekend! We arrived home to 'Its a boy' decorations and several neighbors came out to meet Owen. We feel so greatful to have all our family in town this weekend to meet and spend time with Owen! Thank you to everyone! Owens eyes got a little worse but are no finally in the mend and should be all cleared up in a week. He is sleeping and eating well. We are also so greatful for everyones calls, emails, and well wishes! Thank you thank you thank you! We feel so blessed to have such supportive friends and family!
